UPDATE: 12:30pm … The Snow Emergency Plan for Frederick has been lifted however certain facilities have closed due to poor parking lot conditions. The following 8 games are scheduled to be played today:

7:30am … The Snow Emergency plan is in effect for Frederick & Carroll counties therefore all games are canceled until further notice. If the Snow Emergency plan is lifted, the situation will be re-evaluated. It is possible that games will resume 1 hour after the Snow Emergency plan is lifted … stay tuned.
Game Schedules
Game schedules for the 2nd half of the season are now posted on the website under “Schedules and Directions”. Thank you for your patience.
Game Schedule – 2nd Half
The game schedule for the second half of the season will be sent by the MYBA early next week (January 16th). As soon as it is received, it will be posted on the website and the coaches will be notified.
Pictures
Pictures are due to arrive around January 24th. As soon as they are received, they will be delivered to the coaches during practice. If you have not received your pictures from your coach by January 28th, please send an email to bcrcbasketball@comcast.net.

Games begin Saturday, December 3, 2011 – Game schedules will be released and published around November 29, 2011.
Uniform Distribution
Uniforms are scheduled to be distributed on November 29 and November 30, 2011, at Orchard Grove Elementary School from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. If you purchased a new uniform, please stop by to pick up.
MYBA Coaches Clinic
There is a mandatory coaches clinic being sponsored by the MYBA and IAABO Board 214. If you were unable to attend on November 10, then your attendance is expected on December 1, 2011, at Tuscarora Elementary, 7:30pm.
Coach’s Clinic
The 1st Coach’s Clinic will be held on November 3, 2011, 7:30pm, at Tuscarora Rec Center. Our guest speaker will be Rob Healy, Head Coach (girls) of Oakdale High School. Please show Coach Healy the BCRC Spirit by coming out to show your support!

Welcome to BCRC Basketball!
BCRC Basketball is an instructional recreation program for youth ages 8 to 18. We have the full backing of the Ballenger Creek Recreation Council, Frederick County Parks & Recreation Department and the City of Frederick Recreation Department in our pursuit of gym time for practices and games. Our program director is Vicki Escudero.
Our website is an important vehicle for disseminating information to our coaches as well as to our players, parents and community. Please check back often for updates about the league, game rules, game schedules and other pertinent details.
Let’s work together to make BCRC Basketball a success and a springboard to a future our community will be proud of!
BAD WEATHER
